September is National VIP (Very Important Parents) Month

The 2007 motto is: Parents Set Children on a Healthy Path! Many jobs are involved in parenting. Even before a child is born, parents are responsible for their child's care and well-being. Parents are natural caregivers, leaders in their families, and their children's first and most important teachers. Parenting is one of the most important jobs anyone can do!

Parents Set Children on a Healthy Path by:

  • Monitoring and protecting their children.
  • Promoting healthy food choices and family meals.
  • Encouraging physical activity and
  • Teaching children that their feelings are okey and how to manage them.
