Student Artwork on Display on Court House Construction Site

The artwork is on the west side of the Court House on Dixie Highway across from the new County Courthouse.

An unveiling ceremony took place on August 17, 2004 to honor artists and thank the Board of County Commissioners for their decision to grant space for the County’s first history museum inside the 1916 County Court House.

The artwork of thirty-two local students was installed on the construction fence at the Court House renovation site on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. A panel of judges selected the final works of art from more than 300 submittals from public elementary, middle and high schools. They were judged for their historical integrity, accuracy and artistic merit. The eight-by-ten-foot panels will remain in place until the restoration of the Court House is completed.
