The acquisition of natural areas and the development of management plans spawns many construction projects. These include public use facilities, environmental enhancement and restoration projects including exotic vegetation eradication.
The Engineering Services section designs, obtains permits, writes specifications, prepares construction plans and manages the construction of public use facility and exotic vegetation eradication projects.
The section provides technical expertise for environmental enhancement, shoreline restoration and petroleum cleanup projects including engineering review and designs, development of project schedules, cost estimating, specification writing, preparation of construction plans, environmental resource mapping, and construction inspection. The section also develops and manages annual contracts for coastal engineering and surveying consultants.
