The Problem
- Ongoing erosion is threatening A1A, infrastructure, and beach habitat
The Solution-Completed 2010
- Added approximately 1 million cubic yards of sand to the coastal system to act as a sacrificial berm
- Planted over 50,000 native sea oat plants to restore the eroded dune south of the Juno Pier
