CHAIN OF LAKES
PARTNERSHIP GRANT PROGRAM
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
STATE FISCAL YEAR 2008-09 |
 |
This notice is to advise you that, beginning March 3, 2008, Palm Beach County
will be soliciting grant applications for construction projects to benefit the
water quality and habitat in Lake Worth Lagoon (LWL) and the Chain of Lakes
(Pine Lake, Lake Clarke, Lake Osborne, Lake Ida, and Lake Eden).
Completed applications for State Fiscal Year 2008-09 are due by 5:00 PM on Friday,
May 30, 2008. For each project, please submit one original application and six
copies to: LWLPGP Grant Coordinator, Palm Beach County Department of Environmental
Resources Management, 2300 North Jog Road, 4th Floor, West Palm Beach, Florida
33411-2743. For those who submitted an application last year, you have the option
of submitting an entirely new application or requesting that the grant coordinator
use last year's application provided that you submit a new schedule and cost
estimate (see application for details). We strongly encourage potential applicants
to call the grant coordinator to discuss proposals in detail prior to submittal.
When the selection committee meets to review and select projects in July 2008,
grant applicants will be required to provide a brief oral presentation followed
by a question-and-answer session. Applicants will be notified regarding a time
for their presentations.
