The Office Automation Section/Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the FD&O Department information system services. This Section provides technical support to most of the Divisions within FD&O in relation to their software and hardware needs. These responsibilities include the development and implementation of hardware and software solutions to current or anticipated administrative needs to assure the integration of all installed systems.
Additionally, IT has implemented an energy management program. The purpose of the program is to monitor energy consumption in all county owned facilties. Reports are generated for management purposes to identify any potential utility problems (electric, gas and water). Consumption reports are provided to any requesting agency within the county government.
We are also responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of thirteen servers and the Local Area Networking equipment for the FD&O Department.
We create and provide reports to management to enable users to plan, report, and make decisions regarding software and hardware acquisitions.
