Monthly Forum Addresses County Budget

Commissioner Jess Santamaria held his monthly community on May 27 at the original Wellington Mall. About 50 west area residents attended.

Before the regular program began, attendees were treated to a special musical performance by the fourth, fifth and sixth grade choral group from Binks Forest Elementary School, under the direction of Karen LaFrance.

Commissioner Santamaria then introduced Assistant County Administrator Brad Merriman, who gave a presentation on the proposed 2010 county budget.

State Sen. Dave Aronberg provided an update on the state budget and recently passed legislation in Tallahassee.

And Indian Trail Improvement District Supervisor Mike Erickson gave a comprehensive overview of current and future transportation issues affecting The Acreage.
