A Palm Beach County 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony was held at Old School Square in Delray Beach on Sept. 11, 2008.  The solemn event was hosted by the Fire Chiefs Association of Palm Beach County and included guest speakers, musical performances, pipe and drum corps, honor guards, a gun salute and playing of taps.  In addition, a special bell was also rung to honor “The 343,” the number of active duty New York City firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.
