Within three weeks of implementation, the new Palm Beach County Prescription Drug Discount Card saved County residents $53,000. Over 2,200 people filled 3,238 prescriptions in the period of time from rollout on September 11th until the end of the month. The cards are accepted at 300 local pharmacies in Palm Beach County.
The cards may be used by all county residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage, and are accepted at almost 300 Palm Beach County pharmacies. A national network of more than 59,000 participating retail pharmacies also will honor the NACo prescription discount card.
