PALM BEACH COUNTY TRAFFIC DIVISION UPDATE OF
ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION LIST

1. LOCATION:       45th St. from east of Haverhill Rd. to Jog Rd. (City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION:      Existing 2-lane to 4-lane divided, including a new bridge over the Turnpike.

RESTRICTIONS:   Lane closures are not planned.

2. LOCATION:          Congress Ave. at The South County Government Complex (City of Delray Beach)

DESCRIPTION:       Handicapped ramps, turn lane widening and new traffic signal.

RESTRICTIONS:    The new traffic signal has been activated

3. LOCATION:       Northlake Blvd. west of SR 710/Bee Line Hwy.  (City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION:      Construction of 2 bridges

RESTRICTIONS:   Four lanes of traffic are being maintained.  The pedestrian pathway is also closed from Grassy Waters Park west for approximately one mile.

4. LOCATION:        Central Blvd. from Church St. to Longshore Dr. (Town of Jupiter)

DESCRIPTION:      Underground utility work.

RESTRICTIONS:   Lane closures are not planned; however, flaggers may be used for traffic control.  Tuesday night there will be paving on Church Street with alternating lanes.

5. LOCATION:     45th Street at the C-17 Canal located between Corporate Way and Congress Ave. (City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION:     Bridge repairs.

RESTRICTIONS:   Lane closures are expected only during the night.

6. LOCATION:         10th Ave. North at Detroit St. (City of Lake Worth)

DESCRIPTION:       Replacing ramps at the intersection.

RESTRICTIONS:    There will be lane closures from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.

7. LOCATION:          Camino Real (Boca Club Bridge) over the Intracoastal Waterway (City of Boca Raton)

DESCRIPTION:       Replacing street lighting.

RESTRICTIONS:    The bridge will be closed from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on February 16, 2012.  Traffic should detour via:  A1A, Palmetto Park Rd., S.E. Mizner Blvd. and U.S. #1.

8. LOCATION:          Jog Road from North of Clint Moore Rd. to Linton Blvd. (west of the City of Delray Beach)

DESCRIPTION:       Replacing pavement marking and reflective pavement markers.

RESTRICTIONS:    There will be lane closures.

9. LOCATION:        Congress Ave. at Park Ave. (Town of Lake Park)

DESCRIPTION:      Reconstruction of the intersection.

RESTRICTIONS:    Lane closures are not expected for pavement marking.

10. LOCATION:          Okeechobee Blvd. from S.R. 7 to the Florida Turnpike (The City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION:       Landscaping the medians.

RESTRICTIONS:    No lane closures are planned; however, construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the median from the left lane.  Please use caution.

11. LOCATION:        Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd. from S.R. 80 to Sycamore Dr.  (west of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves)

DESCRIPTION:      Construction of a 4 lane divided roadway from the existing 2 lanes.

RESTRICTIONS:   Lane closures are not planned.

12. LOCATION:          West Atlantic Ave. from Lyons Rd. to Starkey Rd. (west of the City of Delray Beach)

DESCRIPTION:       Road widening from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.

RESTRICTIONS:    Lane closures are not planned at this time.

13. LOCATION:         Blue Heron Blvd. at Congress Ave. (City of Riviera Beach)       

DESCRIPTION:       Intersection improvements.

RESTRICTION:      The right lane in each direction will be closed from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The sidewalk on the south side is also closed.

14. LOCATION:          Kirk Road from “A” Street to Canal Rd. (Village of Palm Springs)

DESCRIPTION:       Underground utility work.

RESTRICTIONS:    Kirk Rd. will be closed from January 30, 2012, through February 27, 2012.  Traffic will be detoured via:  Lakewood Rd., Military Tr. and 10th Ave. North.

15. LOCATION:         Congress Ave. from Lantana Rd. to south of  Melaleuca Lane (City of Atlantis)

DESCRIPTION:       Existing 4 lane divided roadway is being rebuilt to a 6-lane divided roadway including drainage, water, sewer, sidewalks, paving and bridge widening.

RESTRICTIONS:    Lane closures are not planned.

DESCRIPTION:      Reconstruction of turn lanes

RESTRICTIONS:   There will be periodic lane closures.

17. LOCATION:        Haverhill Rd. at Dyer Blvd.   (City of Riviera Beach)

DESCRIPTION:       Widening of the intersection and new traffic signal. 

RESTRICTIONS:    There will be lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic.

18. LOCATION:      Old Dixie Hwy. at Hidden Valley Blvd.  (City of Boca Raton)

DESCRIPTION:      Road widening to expand the intersection.

RESTRICTIONS:    Lane closures are not planned.
